Overview

The effectiveness of BOLIC is questionable due to the inclusion of 5-Alpha Hydroxy Laxogenin, an ingredient lacking robust clinical human data for its purported anabolic effects, and the proprietary PeakO2 blend which, while composed of beneficial mushrooms, does not specify individual mushroom doses. This makes it difficult to ascertain if optimal or even effective doses of the beneficial mushroom components are present.

The Good

No proprietary blends for the main ingredients, allowing transparency on 5-Alpha Hydroxy Laxogenin and PeakO2 amounts.

Mushroom components (Cordyceps, Ganoderma, Lion's Mane, Shiitake, Turkey Tail) are individually associated with various health benefits including immune support, antioxidant effects, and potential performance enhancement.

Contains Lion's Mane (Hericium Erinaceus), which has emerging research for neuroprotective and cognitive benefits.

The Bad

The efficacy of 5-Alpha Hydroxy Laxogenin for muscle metabolism and hypertrophy in humans is not well-supported by robust clinical trials.

PeakO2 is itself a proprietary blend, so the specific amounts of each individual mushroom (Cordyceps, Ganoderma, etc.) are unknown, making it difficult to assess effective dosing for each.

The 1000mg of PeakO2 per serving (total of 2000mg per day) is likely an underdose if divided among six different mushrooms, as many of these require individual doses of 1-3g for reported benefits.
